Dobroyd Castle
The Dobroyd castle was built by John Fileden, the son of a wealthy lover, Ruth Stansield, a local weave girl. The story begins when, John Fileden fell in love with the girl and proposed to her. However the girl is willing to marry when John promises and willing to awaken a castle on a hill. Inside this building many initial engraved their names, John and Ruth, JFR as a witness of their love. After the death of his wife, John married again and was paralyzed until he spent his life in a wheelchair.
This castle construction spending at 72 thousand pounds. Located in Todmorden, a magnificent castle contains 66 rooms it has now become one of the famous monument of love in the UK.
