Meteora

Meteora is located in the Central Greece. A number of medieval churches or monasteries hanging on the sides and the top of a steep rock hill. Name Meteora Meteoros derived from the Greek word meaning "suspended in the air". Construction of the monastery began when Turkish occupation in the 14th century.
